Hello all...I hope week 7 is treating you all kind with results.
I have not blogged for awhile so here goes.
I am seeing some results in strength. Still not real motivated to P90, but making it through all for each of you doing it alongside me. We are over half way there. I am consistantly getting in 5 workouts a week and some weeks all 6. I am happy with that. The eating part is slowly coming along. It comes and goes. Those nights I eat or want to eat an entire cookie cake (and yes I can/do) don't help much, but thankfully they are few and far between.
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this process. Let's hear from you!!

Yoga what???? Ain't no thing! Done for today!
Enjoy your weekend kids!

Tyler post

I think the Core Synergistics is my favorite video of all 13. I like not having to repeat an exercise, I like the variety in that video. And what adds to the fun is how Dreya is. Seriously, I think she’s on crack in this video. And honest to God, Tony compliments here on the extension of her fingers when she’s doing the Superman. I mean, you just have to laugh at that.

struggling....

Okay haven't posted for awhile. I am struggling to want to keep going today. I will though. I HATE dieting and eating right. Why do calories have to count?
Well I have only done two P90 work outs this week so far and will get three more in. I did play volleyball last night so I am counting that as a work out! (not a P90)
I hope you are all doing so well at this and not struggling and just having a great time, because right now Tony and Drea can crawl in a hole and not come out!!
Done with the negative....anyone else struggling?
I am heading down to do some yoga! I am sure I will feel better after that!
Enjoy your weekend kids!

Okay Clari--totally with you on that fat hurts thing!! What a way for your hubby to be uplifting and encouraging huh!
Glad you guys are on board. I was laughing hysterically reading the blog, but only because I feel your pain...literally!
Week 4....rest??? NOT!

Clari's week of P90

 Dear P90X'ers,
This is Clari- John and I are 2 weeks behind because of his vacation.
Below is a summary of my 1st week:

 MONDAY:
Started my day at 5:00 a.m. Tough to get out of bed, so John said
some encouraging words...something about a fat butt. Did weights.
Not too bad for the first day!

 TUESDAY:
Wow...a little sore in the shoulder area. Thankfully we are doing
 Cardio and not weights today.

 WEDNESDAY:
Did the treadmill in the a.m. Can't reach across my desk at
work! I dread that we have weights again already!

 THURSDAY:
Oooh noooooo...Yoga! Still sore in my shoulders. Want to curl up in
 the fetal position!

Friday:
Legs and back...I think I can do this.

Saturday:
Remember that "fat butt" remark...ouch! (Does fat hurt?)

Thought for the week: Do people really LIKE doing this stuff?

Okay now I think I got it. Let me know if this works as a new post. Sorry to be a pain!
We just started Monday, thanks to my trip to Argentina. I gained 7 lbs in 10 days!! We are hurting units!! I think my toe nails even hurt!! But, watch out here I come!!!

Week 3 Already

Happy St Patty's Day everyone. It's hard to believe we're on week three already and with 2 workouts out of the way for this week, it seems like the rest can't be that bad. Week 2 flew by, we didn't have quite as good as results, but I can tell I'm getting stronger and the food changes we made are going a little easier (nothing too serious). We went to Kansas City to visit some friends last Friday & Saturday, the huge plate of BBQ ribs made it a little tough to stay on the diet, but I'll catch up for it. We also did a workout in the morning today so we could enjoy a green beer tonight. I'm not a huge fan of the morning workouts, especially plyo. I guess it doesn't matter when I do that workout, I still don't like it. It'll be the last time for a few weeks though.

I've had some good food due to the food plan we're doing along with the workouts. Amy and I used to got to Jimmy Johns for lunch once a week, well that has turned into salad at Jason's Deli. They have a pretty good salad bar for lunch. I hadn't eaten there before, but I like it. Still a little expensive, but not too bad. I also had a greek salad from Katie's that was pretty good. I tried an unwich from Jimmy John's, but I could see why they called it an unwich, it's nothing like their sandwiches. I could've ordered about 2 or 3 of them.

I've been trying to get Amy to blog on here once in a while, but she'd rather read what people are saying then complain because there aren't any more posts. I told her, she was the main problem. As Tony would say, "you can do anything for 30 seconds". So I'll keep trying to get her on here to atleast say hi and prove she's actually doing stuff.

Until next time, the word of the day is "Don't smash your face!"

Well we are starting week three here. I hope you are all seeing results...I don't know that I am...well I think I have lost like 1-2 pounds. I can tell I have gained some strength though. Yeah. Tyler and I went to the gym to use the pull up machine instead of doing the assisted with a chair. Got a much better work out. I think I will be very sore tmr.
How is everyone else doing??

p90xx

Got up again today. Hanging in there. Thanks to those who are blogging wtih me/us. It is good to know others are working as hard.
Glad that Nolan and Amy are seeing results. Probably a little jealous. I know I am gaining in strength, but not inches!!
I will keep working hard though!
Enjoy your day!

End of week 1

Week one went well.  The soreness is slowly starting to go away, I'm hoping it doesn't come back, but I'm not going to be surprised when it does.  The pull-up bars finally got completed after the first week.  We had 1 to share last week.  Neither one of us can do that many, so we can both get ours done before Tony even leaves to make sure everybody's doing them right.  I took a couple pictures of our home mini gym.  I'm pretty happy with it.  It gets the job done.  Sometimes Tony seems a little too close on the big screen, but we're getting used to it.  The home made pull-up bars are in the 2nd pic, I thought I'd save a ton of money by making them instead of buying the doorway ones, we saved a little, but these parts still cost $60.

We took measurements before we started and both have seen some nice gains.  It's nothing crazy, but hopefully continues, so that's good encouragment.

Amy's still afraid to make her own posts.  She asks why there's not many posts, but she's afraid to make her own.

Well, congrats everyone that finished week 1, I'm going back to eating my salad.

Monday

I had a serious case of the Mondays this morning. I was grumpy until about the ½ way point in the Plyo video. But how can you be grumpy once you being the Mary Katherine lunges. They just make my hammys smile.

Anyway, thank goodness for a partner. I would never have done it today with her.

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

Well I have made it three days in a row now. I am a little sore from day 1, but I am looking forward to seeing if I am sore from this morning...arms and shoulders. I better be for the work I put and if nothing else for just getting up to do it!!
Thanks for posting Nolan. It is good to hear others getting it done!
Our work out is in our basement. Now that we are in the new house we have a ton of great space for plyo and stuff. I enjoyed that!
Keeping up the hard work you two!

2 Down, 88 To Go

So we've finished day 2 and I'm pretty sore already. It's weird my arms are sore from day 1, but I won't notice it until weird times. I've never felt sore turning off the hot & cold water at the same time on the sink before. :) My legs are a little sore, but I'm sure tomorrow, I wont' be able to walk.

I love Tony's quotes. Sometimes its hard for me to remember them, I tell myself I should write them down as soon as I hear them, but I usually forget. "Her name's Pam, they call her BLAM!" It makes me just yell "BLAM!" when they show her. There's another good one about not getting bored, but I forget it.

I was proud of myself for getting a pull-up bar installed in time for day 1. It's kinda makeshift, but it works. I'll have to get some pictures up to show our workout area. I'm interested to hear/see where everybody else is doing their workouts.

Anybody doing the official P90X diet? "What's your soup?" Amy and I are trying to eat healthy and referred to the diet, but I think you'd have to have a full time dietician to figure out all the portions if you were going to follow it strictly. I had my first bad temptation yesterday, somebody at work brought in this luscious looking pink sprinkle cake with fluffy frosting, it was so hard. I had to walk by it everywhere I went, I'm glad it's not there today.

I keep thinking of random stuff that I haven't mentioned on here, we did all of our before measurments the other day, it'll be fun to see the differences at the end.

Tyler posting under Bec's log-in. Rang in at 194 lbs. this morning. Bec and I found that as we began P90x this time, we're stronger and could do more. It still kicked our butts, but we began with more reps than when we did this the first time in 2008. And we're still annoyed at how many breaks Tony takes while he checks to make sure everyone is "doing it right."

New Blog!

Welcome fellow P90Xer's. Tyler came up with the great idea of having a group of people start the P90X workout at the same time, then "forcing" us to blog and motivate one another. I know I need the motivation and what better way to get it. I'm sure Tyler will have some updates, but I just wanted to give a little intro so you knew you were in the right place.

Any suggestions for the blog are welcome. Also if anyone has questions on how to make updates feel free to let me know.
